CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION

More than a few mariachi bands, this event is filled with a wide variety of entertainment for all. Would-be athletes can start the morning with the Menudu 5K. Attractions include multiple stages of live music, a low-rider car show and parade, community village and family and sports zones. (9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sat. Free. MINNESOTA AND THE CIVIL WAR FAMILY DAY

Stop by the exhibit “Minnesota and the Civil War” and learn about the 16th president as actor Fritz Klein portrays Abraham Lincoln in the auditorium. Guests can dress up as soldiers and practice drills or take a photo with members of the First Minnesota Regiment. Hear Civil War-era music, view the fashions and play games of the time.
