Grammy Award winner Reba McEntire headlines the 15th annual Winstock Country Music Festival Saturday night in Winsted, Minn. The event, held on the festival grounds next to the Winsted Airport, kicks off Thursday with the opening of the campgrounds, a spaghetti dinner and music by the Rize. On Friday, Montgomery Gentry will be the headliner; other festival performers include "American Idol" contestant Kellie Pickler, Sawyer Brown, Craig Morgan, Emerson Drive, Diamondback and Bomshel. Riverfest takes flight

Windom, Minn.

A children's parade, butterfly release and fireworks signal the start of the 25th annual Riverfest celebration Friday in Windom, Minn. Smorgasbord of fest fare

Buckskinners look back

Prairie du Chien, Wis.

Relive the history of the fur trade era during the Prairie Villa Rendezvous Thursday through next Sunday at St. Feriole Island, in Prairie du Chien, Wis. The event, one of the largest buckskinner and fur trade re-enactments in the Midwest, features black powder and primitive bow shoot demonstrations; period food including buffalo is on the menu.
