Minnesota Outdoor Youth Expo

This event is designed to get kids more acquainted with nature. More than 60 outdoor organizations, experts and educators will be on hand. Go on a mock pheasant hunt or learn about geocaching and water safety. Also check out the birds of prey demonstration, kayaking, animal education and nature walks. (9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sat.-next Sun. $5. Golden Valley Days

A parade starts an event that includes art and community fairs, food vendors and family activities at Brookview Park. Play games and listen to live music.
