For as much of an emerging electronic music market as the Twin Cities has become, unfortunately we're still flyover country for many big-name DJs. However, the pseudo-raver gods are smiling upon Minneapolis this week, with an unusually heavy run of laptop-toting luminaries passing through.

Over the coming days, there's nary a night when a guy behind a MacBook or CDJs won't be imploring a sweaty crowd to get "turnt up" over rippling bass and laser-fire synth lines. Depending on your take, that's either a terrifying reflection on pop culture or a great excuse for a #bassface hashtag. But for those ready to rage the week away, here's a rundown of the trap-to-trance festivities.

Carnage — As producers across the country chase the hype that is trap (EDM's spin on Southern rap), one of the subgenre's leaders is branching out. Carnage's "festival trap" remix of Hardwell's "Spaceman" helped drive his rapid ascent, but the L.A.-based DJ/producer has since dabbled with house and dropped collaborative hardstyle album "The Manhattan Project" with Cluster this summer. Still, the recent bass-thumping single "Bricks" shows the hip-hop producer-turned-EDM star isn't totally trapped out. With Paris Blohm, Dzeko & Torres and Jungle Kid. 8 p.m. Fri., 18-plus, $25-$30, Skyway Theatre, 711 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls., 612-333-6100, www.skywaytheater.com

Mimosa

This California producer came up championing an inoffensive melodic downtempo/dubstep sound. But Mimosa has since become a polarizing figure, adopting harder, trap-inspired tunes with his "Future Trill" series, which disenfranchised some of his earliest fans. Dumping vodka on Downlink's head onstage over a set time dispute this summer at a festival in Houston didn't help his image. Now Mimosa is moving on with last month's "Equilibrium" LP. Swindle and others open. 9 p.m. Sat., 18-plus, $15-$20, the Loft at Bar Fly, 711 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls., 612-333-6100, www.skywaytheater.com

3lau

This mashup mixer flipped to big-room house productions and caught the EDM world's ear collaborating with Paris & Simo and Bright Lights (aka Heather Bright) last year. The real-life Justin Blau again tapped Bright's skyward vocals for this year's "How You Love Me" — his biggest hit to date. 9 p.m. Sat., 21-plus, $25-$35, Spades Nightclub, 322 1st Av. N., Mpls., 612-746-4004, www.spadesnightclub.com

Flosstradamus

These Chicago trap pioneers have exploded in the past two years along with the subgenre they helped start. The duo of Josh "J2K" Young and Curt "Autobot" Cameruci blend Lex Luger-informed beats with shimmery synth leads beloved by the young, tent-rave masses. After kicking around the Windy City scene for years, Floss broke in 2012 with its booming "Original Don" remix, EPs released via A-Trak's and Diplo's labels and its first anthemic "Banned" mix. 8 p.m. Tue., 18-plus, $25-$35, Skyway Theatre, 711 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls., 612-333-6100, www.skywaytheater.com

Tritonal

Texas isn't exactly the state of trance. But this Austin duo's debut LP produced a litany of singles, including title track "Piercing the Quiet," that shot up Beatport's trance chart. The progressive pair kicks off Rev Ultra Lounge's (formerly Marquee) second anniversary weekend on Thanksgiving eve. 10 p.m. Wed., 21-plus, $15-$20, Rev Ultra Lounge, 731 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls., 612-770-8278, www.revmpls.com

Adrian Lux

After taking Turkey Day off, Rev's anniversary bashes continue with progressive house heartthrob Adrian Lux. The former model is best known for giddy, dance-poppy hits "Teenage Crime" and "Boy," the former being big in Australia. The accessible Swede's profile is still rising in the States and his latest "Make Out" EP, issued on Ultra Records, is better suited to clubs than festival tents. 10 p.m. Nov. 28, 21-plus, free with RSVP, $10 door, Rev Ultra Lounge, 731 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls., 612-770-8278, www.revmpls.com

Manic Focus

It's been a big year for the St. Paul native John McCarten. The future bass producer has toured and collaborated with Big Gigantic and Break Science, and signed with Griz's Liberated Music for his latest album. Last month the Chicago-based beatsmith released his "Cerebral Eclipse" LP, which continues his tradition of marrying hip-hop, wobbly bass lines and soul samples while ratcheting up the electro-soul vibes. After playing his third consecutive Summer Set in Somerset, Wis., Manic Focus returns for his first headlining home-state gig. Filibusta, Artifakts and Fresh Quo open. 10 p.m. Nov. 28, 18-plus, $15-$18, Mill City Nights, 111 N. 5th St., Mpls., 612-333-3422, www.millcitynights.com

Bro Safari

Since coming up as one third of drum and bass group Evol Intent, Nick Weiller has found more commercial success under his Bro Safari alias while trading in trap and moombahton. Last year the manically mixing producer teamed up with UFO! for their collaborative "Animal" LP and delivered a berserk, ADD-fueled set opening for Skrillex at First Avenue. 8 p.m. Nov. 29, 18-plus, $25, Skyway Theatre, 711 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls., 612-333-6100, www.skywaytheater.com
