Following the news of Eat Street Buddha Kitchen’s closing, another Asian fusion restaurant has bitten the dust. Uptown’s Social House has been abruptly shuttered and a note hanging in its windows states that “our landlord has terminated our lease and has forced us to move out.” Per the finger-pointing memo, thus ends a nine-year run for the owners in the space on Lagoon and Hennepin avenues, counting Social House’s predecessors, Fusion and Zeno.

Northward, ho

This weekend Minnesota’s sudsy spotlight turns to Duluth when All Pints North Summer Brew Fest, featuring 60-plus mostly Minnesotan breweries, takes over Bayfront Festival Park. Last year the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild’s lakeside beer bash drew 2,300 attendees, and organizers said capacity has been increased this year. While you’re in Duluth, check out the Fitger’s Brewhouse team’s new Endion Station Public House (opens Friday).

3-7 p.m. Sat., $35 ($10 designated driver), 21-plus, 350 Harbor Dr., Duluth,

Bicycles, meet beer

If All Pints North isn’t in the cards, New Belgium Brewing’s annual Tour de Fat rolls into Loring Park on Saturday. The annual bikes-and-beer carnival, which raised $24,000 for local bicycle nonprofits last year, kicks off at 11 a.m. with a bike parade (10 a.m. registration) before closing with a set from garage-blues rocker Black Joe Lewis. Other entertainment includes a dance contest, fashion show of costumed attendees and, what the heck, a yo-yo performance. Oh, and beer. Lots of beer.

11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat., free, 1382 Willow St., Mpls.,

Brewers in a bloc

This summer’s beeriest block party goes down Sunday when nine local breweries team up for the first ever NE Brewers Block Party at Sociable Cider Werks. You know the drill: live music, beer and food trucks. Black Diet, Bomba de Luz, Fort Wilson Riot, Enemy Planes, Rapper Hooks and others are on sonic detail. Meanwhile, 612Brew, Bauhaus, Barley John’s, Indeed, Fulton, NorthGate, the coming-soonish Fair State Brewing Cooperative and of course those Sociable cider heads keep the crowd hydrated.

2-9 p.m. Sun., free, 1500 NE. Fillmore St., Mpls., 612-758-0105,
