Wine

The best rosés combine the crisp freshness of a young white with the body and depth of a bolder red. Kind of like the 2012 Cascina Castlet Barbera Rosé ($17), a rich refresher from Italy's Piedmont region. Made mostly from barbera with smatterings of nebbiolo and grignolino, it boasts lovely floral aromatics, vibrant berry flavors, a rare balance of delicacy and structure and a lingering finish. Try it with most any fresh vegetables and grilled seafood or chicken. Available at France 44, North Loop, Solo Vino and South Lyndale.
