Trust me, synchronized swimming is much more fun when you watch it at a bar -- preferably with a drink in your hand.

There's no better place to watch the London Olympics (and all its sports -- yay for race walking!) than at Brit's Pub. The downtown bar is showing the games all day and night on a jumbo screen on its rooftop lawn. While the evening viewing consists of NBC's tape-delayed broadcast, Brit's daytime access includes the Olympic soccer and basketball channels.

Like London itself, Brit's is having a bloody good month. The bar is packed with events, even beyond the Olympic viewing parties. On Monday the bar's 15th annual outdoor summer movie series returns. It's only appropriate that they kick off the series with "Chariots of Fire." Sorry, no Mr. Bean cameo as far as I know. The weekly series continues each Monday with (in order) "My Week With Marilyn," "The Iron Lady" and "Sherlock Holmes 2." Then on Aug. 12 -- the last day of the Olympics -- Brit's is sending off the Summer Games with live Golden Gloves boxing matches on the rooftop.

The best part? It's all free.

They had me at "food trucks" and "craft breweries." But juicy lucys, too? It's a dream come true. Sunday's first annual Minnesota Food Truck Fair will bring together more than a dozen food trucks and 25 breweries for an outdoor feeding frenzy. On top of all of that, the Blue Door Pub will be serving Blucy bites. The fest, held in a downtown Minneapolis parking lot next to the Bev's Wine Bar building, will have live music by a couple of jazz groups, plus back-yard games. There are various ticket levels, from $30 for all-you-can-eat to $50 for all-you-can-drink. Combine them for an all-you-can-everything pass ($80).

Roast a pig for brain research Club Jger's "Viva el Cerebro!" party sounds like so much fun it must be bad for you. Nope, it's for a good cause: Proceeds benefit the American Brain Tumor Association. The patio party features a pig roast and live music by Melismatics, Me and My Arrow, the Further Adjustment and Beatrix Jar. Afterward, former Jger manager Angie Heitz will return to spin with Mark Mallman as DJs Easy and Sleazy. They're asking for a $7 door donation.
