I am having a summer fling that makes me feel like a giddy teenager. So is my wife.
Blessedly, the object of our ardor is the same entity: the white wines of Tariquet, which is having a festive season itself in celebrating its 100th birthday this year.
The chardonnay, sauvignon and chenin-chardonnay blend all boast lively fruit and minerally goodness, but our favorite is the brisk, juicy, absurdly refreshing Tariquet "Classic" Ugni Blanc-Colombard ($11).
An al fresco delight, it also goes well with fruity salads, sushi and chicken or cheese enchiladas.
