What: Celebrate Chinese New Year at Rainbow Chinese Restaurant & Bar, where chef/owner Tammy Wong is offering a special a la carte dinner, including crisp-fried beef with tangerine juice, kumquats and ginger; fried mackerel with sweet plum chutney; and stir-fried clams with Thai basil and sake, all $12 to $15. Toast the year 4704 with a few special cocktails, too: a lychee martini, house-infused ginger vodka and a plum nectar fruit punch. Or put together a table of 10 (48 hours' advance notice required) and enjoy a nine-course, $50-per-person dinner.
