Here it is, folks: the Super Bowl of Twin Cities beer dinners. Typically, your average beer dinner consists of one brewery matching its wares with a restaurant's six-course menu. But at Haute Dish Friday night, six of the country's more acclaimed breweries are coming together for an all-star beer experience. Chef Landon Schoenfeld will match each of his six courses with a rare beer from the following breweries: Surly, Bell's, Founders, Boulder Beer, Lagunitas and Big Sky. Best of all, the owners/brewmasters from each brewery will be on hand to talk about their beers. The cost is $100, and tickets are sure to be hot, so hurry if you want a place at the table.

Life with Louie While he's a master of talking about what's wrong with the world, Louis C.K. has had a pretty amazing year. His new concert movie, aptly titled "Hilarious," has been playing nationwide, and his FX TV show, "Louie," has been renewed for a second season. In the meantime, this comic's comic has been on the road with a tour called "Louis C.K.: Word," which comes to the State Theatre on Friday. The first show is close to selling out, but they've added another. Here's a peek at Louie's thoughts on privilege in the United States (from his "Hilarious" movie): "We have white people problems in America. That's where your life is amazing, so you just make [expletive] up to be upset about. People in other countries have real problems. Like, 'Oh [expletive], they're cutting off all our heads today.'"

8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Fri. 805 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. $35. 1-800-982-2787.
