"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice was dropped by her legal crisis manager after the reality star asked the courts to serve most of her 15-month sentence in a halfway house and the remainder at Danbury Federal Prison, featured in the hit Netflix series "Orange Is the New Black."

The drama began after Guidice's attorneys sent a letter Monday to U.S. District Court Judge Esther Salas.
"We respectfully request the court to add the maximum amount of Residential Re-Entry Center (RCC/Halfway House) placement afforded under the Second Chance Act' to the judgement as this will insure she receives proper credit on her sentence and the appropriate halfway house designation," her attorneys wrote in the letter obtained by TheWrap.
Her legal crisis manager Wendy Feldman then parted ways with the reality star.
"Sadly, my time with Teresa … has come to an end. My client relationships are very important to me, however today's filing regarding Teresa's Bureau of Prisons designation request was not done with my knowledge or input," Feldman told E! News on Tuesday.
Federal prosecutors also objected to Giudice's request, claiming the court never intended for her to serve time in a halfway house.
"It was clearly not the Court's intention at the sentencing in this matter to sentence defendant to serve all or virtually all of her sentence in a halfway house," wrote prosecutors Tuesday in their response letter, also obtained by TheWrap.
"The Court made detailed, express findings on the record about the need to sentence defendant to jail," prosecutors added in their response, obtained by TheWrap. "To amend the judgment now to include a recommendation of 12 months in a halfway house would be to undercut all of these findings completely."
Giudice and her husband Joe Giudice were both convicted of mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud in a New Jersey federal court on Oct. 2. Joe Giudice, who also pleaded guilty to a count of failing to file a tax return, was sentenced to 41 months. The courts have allowed the couple to serve their sentences separately for the sake of their daughters.
Both "Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars have since appeared on television and expressed shocked over the sentencing.
"I thought my lawyer was going to fight for me. I mean that's what lawyers do, I don't know," Teresa told Andy Cohen on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live."
"That's why you hire an attorney. You put it in their hands."
