Local singer pushes button on 'The Voice'

It took Minneapolis club veteran Tim Mahoney less than 30 seconds to make a strong impression on one of the judges on NBC's "The Voice" -- never mind that it was the wrong impression. "I thought you were a chick," Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine told Mahoney after picking him for his team during Tuesday night's telecast. He and the three other judges listen to singers with their backs turned, so it's really all about "the voice." Mahoney indeed sounded sweet and pretty, if a bit husky for a "chick," as he sang Sam Cooke's "Bring It on Home to Me" for his audition. While Levine had hoped to pick a woman, he noted that his own voice has been mistaken for a female's. "I think you and I can work really well together," he told Mahoney. That prompted a ditto and a deadpan from fellow judge Blake Shelton: You guys will make a great couple."

Marie Osmond remarries former husband

Marie Osmond has found love again -- with a former flame. Osmond, 51, and former professional basketball player Stephen Craig, 54, were remarried Wednesday in a private ceremony in Las Vegas, her rep tells People magazine. They were first married in 1982 and divorced three years later. They have a 28-year-old son, Stephen, together. The bride even wore the same dress -- designed by Ret Turner -- that she wore the first time around. The couple picked their wedding date to honor the birthdays of Osmond's late son Michael and her late mother Olive.

BENEFIT: Two days after he walked through tornado rubble in Alabama, actor Charlie Sheen has begun an online campaign to raise money for storm victims. The website -- "Torpedos against Tornados," a play on Sheen's stage show, "My Violent Torpedo of Truth" -- says that donations will be tax-deductible.

BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE: Taylor Swift will bring the curtain down on this year's CMA Music Fest. Swift has been added to the Sunday lineup of the Nightly Concerts at LP Field for the June 9-12 festival in Nashville, Tenn. Sunday will be a blockbuster night with Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton and Darius Rucker among the performers. Other performers set to appear earlier in the week include Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban and Sheryl Crow.

NAMES REVEALED: Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon announced the names of their newborns: Moroccan Scott Cannon and Monroe -- yes after Marilyn Monroe -- Cannon. Why Moroccan Scott? Cannon proposed to Carey in her apartment's Morrocan Room -- so named because of its Morroccan-inspired decor. And Scott is Cannon's middle name and his grandmother's maiden name. Monroe doesn't have a middle name -- another similarity that she has with mom.

ARRESTED: Comedian Andy Dick, 45, was arrested Monday for being drunk and disorderly in a Marie Callender's in Southern California. He was later released.
