Club Book, the free program that brings authors to libraries around the Metro area, announced its fall lineup.
Colson Whitehead, Sept. 14. The author of "Sag Harbor" is a Pulitzer Prize finalist and a MacArthur Fellow.
Terry McMillan, Sept. 18. The bestselling author's new novel, "Getting to Happy," will be published in September.
Nancy Pearl, Sept. 23-25. Her new book, "Book Lust to Go," will be published in September. She is a commentator on National Public Radio.
Will Weaver, Oct. 14. His "A Gravestone Made of Wheat" was adapted into the film "Sweet Land." His new book, "The Last Hunter," will be published in September.
Faith Sullivan, Oct. 12 and Oct. 28. "The Cape Ann" author has won the Milkweed National Fiction Prize.
Mike Reiss, Oct. 22-23. Reiss was the head writer of "The Simpsons" for more than 20 years and is the author of novels and children's books. His new book, "Just Too Cute! And Other Tales of Adorable Animals for Horrible Children," will be published in September.
Alison McGhee, Oct. 19 and Nov. 17. McGhee is a poet, essayist and novelist. Her novel "Shadow Baby" was a Today Show book-club pick. Her new middle-school book, "Bink and Gollie," written with Kate DiCamillo, will be published in September.
Swati Avasthi, Nov. 9. Avasthi is the author of "Split," and her short fiction has been nominated for Best New American Voices and a Pushcart Prize.
Gish Jen, Nov. 15-16. The "Typical American" author's new novel, "World and Town," will be published in October.
