For the second year running, a poet published by Twin Cities publisher Graywolf Press has won the prestigious (and lucrative) Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award. San Francisco poet D.A. Powell won this year's $100,000 prize for his collection, "Chronic: Poems," which also was recently named a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle award. Last year, New York poet Matthea Harvey won for "Modern Life," published in October 2008 by Graywolf. The Kingsley Tufts prize was established in 1992 and is awarded annually to mid-career poets. It carries an award of $100,000. LAURIE HERTZEL
