ROBERT BLY IN THIS WORLD

What: A conference on the career of Minnesota poet and author Robert Bly.

When: Thu.-next Sun. For the daily schedule of events, turn to page E5.

Where: University of Minnesota, Mpls. Daily sessions and workshops in Andersen Library; events for the general public, 7:30 p.m. in Willey Hall.

Cost: $150 for full conference; $10 each for nightly events or $25 for all three nights. Sunday's bus trip is $50.

Thursday: Keynote address, scholar and poet Lewis Hyde.

Friday: Storyteller and musician Daniel Deardorff and storyteller Gioia Timpanelli.

Saturday: Robert Bly and Coleman Barks, with musicians Marcus Wise and David Whetstone.

April 19 (bus trip): Bus departs from Holiday Inn Metrodome, Minneapolis, to visit the Robert Bly Writing Studio in Madison, Minn.

What: An exhibit of some of Bly's early manuscripts, boyhood photographs and other memorabilia.

When: Ends May 9

Where: Andersen Library, University of Minnesota, West Bank campus, Mpls.
