"every-blest-thing-seeing-eye," a new collection of poetry and prose by Minneapolis writer Heid E. Erdrich, has been selected as this year's 2016 Winter Book by the Minnesota Center for Book Arts.This is the 26th year for the Winter Book.

The book imagines the many different experiences of viewing art, including the experience of having an Ojibwe poet as curator.

"every-blest-thing-seeing-eye" was designed by Jeff Rathermel and Todd Thyberg, with illustrations by Jim Denomie, Aza Erdrich, Eric Gansworth, Dyani Whitehawk, Louise Erdrich, Andrea Carlson and Jonathan Thunder.

Two editions will be printed. The standard edition, which will sell for $40, contains letterpress printed text. The deluxe edition ($235) is accompanied by a portfolio of seven prints and various physical artifacts, all contained in a glass topped case.

The Winter Book celebration will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, 1011 Washington Av. S. Erdrich will read, followed by a public reception with refreshments, and a book signing.
