Go, Ellen!

Twin Cities mystery writer Ellen Hart has won her sixth Lambda Award, this one for "The Old Deep and Dark," her latest Jane Lawless mystery, which won in the category of Best Lesbian Mystery.

The story takes place in Minneapolis, as two sisters set about renovating an old theater where two murders had taken place years ago. And then they find a body .... a recent one... Enter the intrepid Jane.

Hart is the author of 30 books. She has won the Minnesota Book Award three times, and has also won the Golden Crown Literary Award three times, as well as other honors.

She will be one of the many authors doing readings this month at SubText Bookstore as it celebrates its grand opening in its new location in downtown St. Paul. (The address is 6 W. 5th St.--it's the gorgeous old St. Paul Building near Rice Park and the St. Paul Hotel. And the statue of F. Scott Fitzgerald. But I digress.)

Hart will read at 6:30 p.m. June 25, along with GLBT writers Jessie Chandler, Christina Glendenning and Rachel Gold.
