Janet Graber of Burnsville writes:

I have just raced through Ian McEwan's "Sweet Tooth," a thoroughly glorious page-turner of a novel — a story within a story within a story of espionage, identities, love and betrayal.

Inspired and intrigued by the Guthrie Theater's brilliant production of "Our Country's Good," I am just about to dig into "The Playmaker," by Thomas Keneally, for a fuller understanding of the folks involved in the founding of Australia. Lying abandoned beneath these books is "The Luminaries" by Eleanor Catton, winner of the Booker Prize last year. I am finding it very difficult to get into this novel and would appreciate any advice or tips or comments regarding this 834-page tome.
