Cameo critic: Alyssa Milano on "Clemente"

Last update: April 12, 2008 - 5:21 PM

Alyssa Milano can be seen on the small screen in "My Name Is Earl" and on the big screen in "Pathology," a horror film that opens Friday. In her spare time, she can be found at Dodger Stadium (she's a Dodgers season-ticket holder). She's such a serious baseball fan that she blogs for Major League Baseball at alyssa.mlblogs.com. Her passion for the diamond led her to read "Clemente: the Passion and Grace of Baseball's Last Hero" by David Maraniss.

NEAL JUSTIN

"I've been a UNICEF ambassador for a number of years, so I was particularly interested in Roberto Clemente's story. He struggled with so much discrimination, but once he got comfortable he used his voice for positive change, a drive that ultimately took his life [in a plane crash en route to help earthquake survivors in Nicaragua in 1972]. He was a real role model."
