It's truly admirable that the Avetts' set lists vary wildly from show to show, more so than even some of the most adventurous bands out there. I'm curious what longtime fans thought of this particular list, which had a few genuine surprises. Also, how do you like the band having a permanent drummer?
The boys didn't say much of note during the show, just a lot of genuine-sounding aw-shucks type of thank you's. Seth said after "Road Full of Promises" was glowingly received, "Y'all just keep doing what you're doing, and we'll keep coming back."
