LOS ANGELES -- "Game of Thrones" fans finally have a date with destiny. The cult hit will return April 12, the same night "Veep" and "Silicon Valley" will air new episodes. The announcement wasl made Thursday at the TV Critics Assocation press tour.

"Last Week with Jon Oliver" won't be on the bench quite as long. It comes back Feb. 8 for a second season.

One of the most enticing items was that comedian Tig Notaro, underrated both on the stage and in the writers' room, will get her first HBO special, which will be taped before a live audience later this year.

In other news, "Real Time with Bill Mahetr" has been renewed for two more seasons. It returns on Friday.

Several well-known personalities mingled with journalists Thursday including Bryant Gumbel, Queen Latifah, Tim Robbins and Jack Black.
