The mega-fest most frequented by Minnesotans – and an indicator of which bands might play here in the days around it – Lollapalooza announced its 2014 lineup this morning four months ahead of its 10th annual installment Aug. 1-3 in Chicago's Grant Park. Hip-hop and electronic dance music will rule this year with Eminem, OutKast, Skrillex, Calvin Harris, Zedd, Krewella and Nas among the top names, but there will be plenty of rock, too, with Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, the Avett Brothers, Spoon, Foster the People, Interpol and Broken Bells. Oh, and Lorde is going to be there, too.

Lorde might be a good bet as one of the acts that could spill over and perform in the Twin Cities right before or after her Lolla gig, given the fact that she's yet to play here and could easily sell out St. Paul's Roy Wilkins Auditorium (where the National, Killers and Postal Service all played that same week last year around their Chicago stops). Other likely spillover candidates for the Wilkins include OutKast, Foster the People and -- even though they recently played First Avenue -- Arctic Monkeys or Skrillex. Sure would be nice if First Ave could nab Spoon and a few others in the Midwest caravan, too. Minnesota fans eager to see OutKast could see them a month earlier at Milwaukee's Summerfest on June 29.

A limited number of $100 single-day tickets for Lollapalooza go on sale today at 10 a.m. Click here to see the day-by-day lineups. Here's a rundown of the biggest names on the lineup below.
