There’s Delta Rae and Alpha Rev, the Kopecky Family and Family of the Year, Matt Hires and Matt Nathanson, and Walk the Moon and Walk Off the Earth.

If you can’t already tell those acts apart, you will get a primer come Nov. 21 when the 25th installment of Cities 97’s “Sampler” CDs goes on sale featuring those performers plus two dozen more, including four names from the Twin Cities music scene.

Cities 97 revealed the entire track list for “Sampler, Vol. 25” on air this morning (see below). The two-disc silver anniversary sets will go on sale Nov. 21 (the Thursday before Thanksgiving) at Twin Cities area Target stores for $32.97, the bulk of which goes toward a wide variety of local charities.

Foremost among the featured acts this year are Fun. (“Carry On”), “Vol. 24” repeats Ed Sheeran (“Lego House”) and Tristan Prettyman (“Say Anything”) and Basilica Block Party 2013 headliners and Matchbox Twenty (“Overjoyed”) and Grace Potter (“Stars,” the song she dedicated to late concert promoter Sue McLean’s daughter Lily at the block party). The four local acts on the list – up from just one on last year’s single-disc set (Dessa) – are Farewell Milwaukee, Chastity Brown, Bomba de Luz and the station’s own morning show co-host Keri Noble.

Delta Rae and Hires will be back in town to play the "Sampler 25" release party the night before the on-sale day, Nov. 20, at Myth nightclub in Maplewood.

Though it has not been confirmed, there are murmurings this could be the last year for the “Sampler.” That’s after Clear Channel’s dismissal in August of longtime Cities program director Lauren MacLeash, who spearheaded this year’s collection and the bulk of the prior years’. True or not, MacLeash and Clear Channel can boast of raising more than $11.5 million for Twin Cities charities with the “Samplers,” counting the $1.2 million expected off this 25th edition (a record).

Here’s the fill track list for “Sampler, Vol. 25.” Click here to hear samples of all 33 songs.
