Star Tribune photo by Kyndell Harkness Michael Buble's charm and panache were discussed at length in the review. So let's talk about some of his jokes he told Wednesday at Xcel Energy Center.

Yes, he said he offended Germans and Asians (he called his Asian pianist "my little fortune cookie").And he encouraged the single people in the crowd to find a romantic couple nearby and have a threesome. That line should have been included in my list of winks in the review.

As he did on his last tour in 2010, Buble took a shot at fellow Canadian star Justin Bieber. Having been a dad for eight days (actually it's 15, Mike), he said, "This [tour] is freedom for me – to get away from little poopy, midnight feedings and temper tantrums. I still figure that's easier than going on tour with Bieber. [Pause]. I'm an asshole. Sorry, Justin."

Hockey-obsessed Buble even took a shot at his buddy Lou Nanne, with whom he visited before the concert. He asked Nanne to stand. When he couldn't spot Mr. Minnesota Hockey down front, the singer said: "Tell me your seats aren't better than this?" Then he spotted Nanne, "Oh, he's in a box [suite]. Fancy man."

Anyway, Buble had asked Nanne for some advice for his fantasy hockey team. Buble said Nanne recommended Marian Gaborik. Then, Buble realized his faux pas. Gaborik doesn't play here anymore. "Only half the people laughed," Buble said. "You hated my ass. I should have said Zach Parise."

So it goes with the gabby, quick witted Buble.

Backed by 13 traveling musicians and eight local string players (for a few numbers), Buble played 23 songs, including four on a swanky satellite stage.

Here is Buble's set list from the X:
