After 12 years of waiting to hear the band live again, Twin Cities fans at the State Fair grandstand might be disappointed Depeche Mode skipped a lot of its best-loved hits, including “Everything Counts,” “People Are People,” “Strangelove” and “World in My Eyes.” But hey, we got “A Pain That I’m Used To” and “Should Be Higher” -- those sure lifted everyone’s spirits. It was otherwise a fun and impressive show.
