Twin Cities native Michael London has spent most of his producing career supporting feature-film projects like "Sideways" and "The House of Sand and Fog."

But like a lot of Hollywood executives, his thoughts are drifting more and more towards TV.

Deadline reported Thursday that London and "Medium" creator Glenn Cordon Caron have sold a project to NBC called "Sparks."

The series is based on the life and cases of Oliver Sacks.

It's not the first time the famous neurologist's work has been dramatized. "Awakenings," starring Robert De Niro and Robin WIlliams, received several Oscar nominations.
