All of a sudden, June 29 is one of the busiest days in Twin Cities area summer concerts. A day after Target Center confirmed Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers for that date, Somerset Amphitheater has revealed plans for Avett Fest, a four-band lineup built around rootsy North Carolina pickers the Avett Brothers. The top draw at last summer's Basilica Block Party -- Basilica promoter Sue McLean & Assoc. also booked this -- the Avetts will be joined by locally adored Seattle area singer/songwriter Brandi Carlile, Pennsylvania's soulful hippie-pop greats Dr. Dog and Texan comers the Wheeler Brothers.

Tickets go on sale March 8 at 10 a.m. and are priced $47 for general-admission lawn, $57 or $67 for reserved seats and $77 for the stage-front standing area. You can get them via www.ticketfly.com, charge by phone at 877-4-FLY-TIX or buy in person at the Electric Fetus in Minneapolis. Located less than an hour from the central Twin Cities and renovated two years ago, Somerset Amphitheater -- formerly Float-Rite -- also will sell camping packages that weekend starting at $20 via www.somersetamphitheater.com. Ticket and camping prices go up after April 30. Gates to the show will open at 3 p.m. on June 29, and the show will start around 4:30.
