Sounds like Grouplove singer Christian Zucconi could use a group hug. The L.A. hippie-pop band's concert Saturday at First Avenue has been canceled due to Zucconi suffereing from the flu and laryngitis. No makeup date is expected. Per the info on the club's site, fans who bought their tickets online will be reimbursed automatically, and in-person refunds can be had at the Depot Tavern (next door to First Ave). Here's the statement posted on the band's website:

It's with great regret that we have to cancel tonight's show at Notre Dame, and tomorrow in Minneapolis. Christian is sick with the flu and laryngitis, and we are all doing everything in our power to get back up to speed. Unfortunately, he won't be better by tonight or tomorrow night. We know all of you have been waiting a long time for these shows-- you're not alone. We too are as excited for every single show we play, and are equally disappointed when we have to cancel one.

Somebody alert Prince that the club is available Saturday. Hey, you never know.
