After being seemingly everywhere for a couple years, Twin Cities band Solid Gold has been mostly quiet of late. That's about to change with the release Tuesday of the band's new album "Eat Your Young."
Fans who pre-order the album from the Electric Fetus can get a taste of how the new tunes sound live at a private in-store performance at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. (Details here.)
No "public" concerts are posted yet, but the band was busy in New York last week, playing a series of shows at the CMJ Marathon to promote their second full-length. The album's dark electro-throb sounds tailor-made for Halloween dance parties. Here's a sample:
