The Parker Quartet, busy with travel and recording projects, has several Twin Cities dates coming up. First, they play a free concert Oct. 15 at University of St. Thomas' Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas, featuring Beethoven's very late quartet in F Major, Op. 135, as well as music of Benjamin Britten and Mozart. Show kicks off at 8:15 p.m.

The Grammy-winners, in partnership with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, will present "All Hearts Listen," a series of three programs in 2012-13, beginning with a concert featuring music of Britten, Arvo Part ("Fratres") and Schubert ("Death and the Maiden"). (Nov. 1 at MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis and Nov. 4 at The Music Room, SPCO Center, St. Paul.)

Later programs in the series feature music of Beethoven and Jeremy Gill (March 10 & 14, 2013), and music of Mozart, Brahms and Alexander Fiterstein (May 30 & June 2, 2012).

The quartet is Daniel Chong and Karen Kim, violin, Jessica Bodner, viola and Kee-Hyun Kim, cello. In all of these concerts, violinists David McCarroll and Robin Scott will sub for Karen Kim, who is on sabbatical for the 2012-13 season.
