The official call on Carly Ray Jepsen appearing at the Mall of America next weekend is it's for sure, not maybe. And this is crazy: She will not be there to perform.

The Canadian starlet behind this year's biggest hit song, "Call Me Maybe," will appear in the MOA's Nickelodeon Universe amusement park area next Saturday morning, Oct. 20, hours before she opens for pal Justin Bieber at Target Center. She will be there to promote a new teen movie, "Fun Size," which features her song "This Kiss." The movie's two Nickelodeon-reared actors, Victoria Justice and Thomas Mann, will also be on hand and probably learn a thing or two about being wallpaper when they sit down to sign autographs with Jepsen.

Jepsen's only other duty, according to a movie rep, will be to snap photos on the red carpet and introduce a movie-related video for the song, which is used over the end credits. Here's the schedule for the big to-do:

Wristband distribution 5:30 a.m.
Red Carpet 10:00 a.m.
Introductions and Videos 10:30 a.m.
Grand Prize Drawing 11:00 a.m
Autograph Signing 11:15 a.m.
Advance Screening 1:30 p.m.

Look for an interview with Jepsen in Sunday's Star Tribune. Here's a clip of Jepsen performing "This Kiss" on "Ellen."
