Billie Joe Armstrong, Green Day's colorful lead singer and Minnesota resident, wants to help some young singers have the time of their lives.
The artist will serve as a guest mentor on Christina Aguilera's team during the upcoming season of NBC's "The Voice," according to the Associated Press. Armstrong started taping his parts in Los Angeles this past Wednesday.
"[The Voice is] not molding artists, it's just giving them a little bit of guidance and direction without giving them a complete makeover," said Armstrong in a statement
