Workhouse Theater has canceled the final production of its season, Bert Royal's "Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenaged Blockhead." The Gay Pride-themed show was to open June 22.

Workhouse will now close its season with “But Not For Love,” by writer and composer Matthew Everett (pictured above). That production runs Oct. 12-28 at the company's home in North Minneapolis.

Workhouse won an Ivey Award in 2008 but has since been rocky since losing key founding personnel. Workhouse announced on its website that it was in the midst of a re-organization and will soon name an artistic director.
