Teens are especially vulnerable when they're homeless. Experts report that every 26 seconds a child is kicked out of his or her home. That amounts to 2500 homeless youth in Minnesota on any given night according to the Wilder Foundation.

The Bridge for Youth, a shelter in Uptown, lends a hand with services for runaway, abandoned and homeless kids age 10 - 21. Now 17 of the kids living at The Bridge have created "Secret Struggle," an installation of photos, sculpture and writing about their struggles with homelessness, addiction, abuse, coming out as LGBT, and other challenges in their young lives.

The installation will be on view June 20 - 24 at Circa Gallery during Pride week. Sponsors report that 20 to 40 percent of homeless youth identify as LGBT, a significant number compared to the 10 percent who identify as LGBT otherwise.
