Finally, it's time to drink (at the brewery). Minneapolis' first taproom opens at noon Saturday inside the Fulton Brewery in downtown Minneapolis. This revelation, of course, comes in the wake of the Surly Bill. Passed in 2011, it allows Minnesota packaging breweries to sell beer for consumption on premise (something they couldn't do before).

On tap at the brewery will be Sweet Child of Vine, Lonely Blonde and Worthy Adversary. The Barrio food truck will be on hand serving up its regular menu plus Lonely Blonde-battered fish tacos, too.

More good news: In the coming months, Fulton will begin brewing taproom exclusive beers.

The taproom will be open until 10 p.m. on Saturday. March hours are: 3-10 p.m. Fridays and noon-10 p.m. Saturdays. Taproom hours will expand soon after. Growlers will be available as well.
