LOS ANGELES - Jonah Hill may have a Golden Globes nomination, but he no longer has his own cartoon show. Fox entertainment chief Kevin Reilly officially canceled "Allen Gregory," the short-lived animated series that struggled in the ratings.

When asked about the future of "House," Reilly said Sunday that if this is the final season, he would make sure that the series won't have an "unceremoniously finish." He said he'd be meeting with the show's creative team soon before coming to a final decision. He also said that there would not be a spinoff, as was once speculated.

Reilly also said there was no "Glee" spinoff planned, but that the characters who are graduating will still be part of the show next season, including the one played by Lea Michelle. He did not go into details about how that will work.

Reilly praised "Fringe," but he hinted that its days were short lived, citing that the show was expensive and that the network was losing money on it. "Please don't start the letter writing campaign," he said. "I can't take it."

In more positive news, Reilly announced that Fox will launch a block of animation on Saturday nights, starting early 2013. Think Adult Swim. In fact, Nick Weidenfeld, who will run the unit, formerly ran programming for Adult Swim.
