Last year, he released "Black and White America" and last month he was made an officer in France’s Ordre des Arts et des Letrres, an honor previously bestowed upon Van Morrison and Peter Garrett of Midnight Oil. Bonnie Raitt’s first album in seven years, "Slipstream," is due in April. It includes covers of two Bob Dylan tunes and one Loudon Wainwright number. Joe Henry and Raitt produced the CD. "X Factor" third-place finisher Chris Rene, the rapper, is about to sign with Epic... Lots of singer (or ex-singers) will join Donald Trump on "Celebrity Apprentice" starting Feb. 12: Dee Snider, Deborah Gibson, Clay Aiken, Aubrey O’Day and Tia Carrere. Other competitiors include Cheryl Tiegs, George Takei, Lou Ferrigno, Arsenio Hall, Michael Andretti, Lisa Lampanelli, Adam Carolla, Penn Jillette, Paul Teutul Sr. and Teresa Guidice. A veteran of HBO’s "Sopranos" and Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, Steve Van Zandt will play a wise guy in the new Netflix series "Lillyhammer." He rats out his boss and ends up in the witness protection program in Norway.
