Theater-loving, ramen-noodle-eating college students just caught a lucky break. Park Square Theatre in St. Paul on Tuesday announced a punch-card program that gives students five tickets to any show or any combination of shows for $20. That's $4, or less than half the peice of a movie ticket, for live theater.

The Play Pass may be used to buy multiple tickets for one show, or single tickets for multiple shows, any time during the 2011-2012 season. It is available through the Park Square Box Office, by phone at 651-291-7005, or at the University of Minnesota’s Coffman Memorial Student Union with a valid student I.D. Students simply present their punch-card at the Park Square Theatre Box Office to receive their ticket(s). Note: tickets are subject to availability.

Park Square won a rave review in the Star Tribune for its just-ended staging of "Oliver Twist,. It opened its season this fall with the Tony-winning drama "August: Osage County."

Upcoming productions include "Of Mice and Men" (Nov 17 - Nov 20), "Hot Chocolate" (Nov 30 - Dec 18), "The Soul of Gershwin" (Dec 8- Jan 1), "Ragtime" (Jan 20 -Feb 19), 'The Diary of Anne Frank" (Mar 1, 3 and 30), "American Family" (Mar 16- Apr 7), "Doubt, A Parable" (Apr 20 - May 13), and "Laughter on the 23rd Floor" (Jun 1- Jul 8).
