Concert by Congolese band canceled

Visa problems have forced cancellation of the U.S. tour of the Congolese band Staff Benda Bilili, which included a concert date on Sept. 27 at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis.
The concert was part of a Walker Art Center-sponsored mini-festival of dance and music of the Congo, including a Sept. 23-24 performance by Faustin Linyekula and Studios Kabako, which remains on the schedule.
Fans of the canceled band have one consolation: a free screening of a documentary about Staff Benda Bilili at the Walker on September 22 (7:30 p.m.).
Ticket-buyers can get refunds via the venue where they purchased their tickets in person or via phone. The Cedar Box Office: 612-338-2674 ext 2, The Walker Art Center Box Office: 612-375-7600.
