The Man Booker Prize is awarded annually for the best novel published by a citizen of the Commonwealth of Nations, Ireland, or Zimbabwe.

Not all of these books have been published in the United States. Barry's "On Canaan's Side," for instance, will be published here in September; Alan Hollinghurst's "The Stranger's Child," pubs here in October.
