Organizers of today's "Northside" benefit concert for May 22 tornado victims at the State Theatre want to make sure the seats are filled, so they're offering rush ticket deals this afternoon. Starting at 3 p.m., when the theater box office will open, students and first-responders with proper ID will be able to snag $20 seats for the all-star affair (that includes fire, law enforcement and EMT workers). Of course, this is also a way of encouraging everyone else who's thinking of buying tickets to do so and help out the cause. Prices range from $26.50-$101.50, plus there are $250 golden-circle tickets available for those who can afford to donate more. Click here to buy online. And here is the official concert site. The show starts at 5 p.m. and obviously is expected to go long into the night.

A couple of last-minute additions have been made to the lineup: Keri Noble will also sing, and veteran DJ Freddy Fresh will be spinning before the show. That's in addition to headliners Sounds of Blackness and the rest of this massive lineup of talented do-gooders:
