Fresh from a short stint as the perfect backing band for Robbie Robertson, Los Angeles's sweetest Americana rockers Dawes are slipping into Minneapolis on Sunday for a special in-store acoustic performance and signing 1 p.m. at the Electric Fetus. The locally adored quartet has a gig the night before at Carleton College in Northfield (but no other show in the Cities). Admission to the Fetus set will be limited to the first 300 people who go to the store between now and then to pre-order the new Dawes record, "Nothing Is Wrong" (out June 7). Click here for more details.

Another indoor entertainment option for this (rain-heavy) weekend: Saturday is "Minnesota Music Day" on the Current 89.3 FM -- all local music, all day  -- while sister station MPR News (91.1) is also airing a couple 70th birthday specials on Bob Dylan starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Then on Sunday, Bill DeVille will host the Current's own ranking of Dylan's 70 best songs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
