***UPDATE: You know this snowstorm is serious when two of the Cities' most resilient clubs, Lee's Liquor Lounge and the Turf Club, opt to stay closed on two sure-moneymaking nights. That means no Trailer Trash X-Mas show tonight, and the Rock for Socks benefit with Me & My Arrow, Pictures of Then and the Goondas has been postponed. The Doomtree crew and First Ave are still pressing ahead, though, advising fans to take the light-rail if possible. And if you can find the rail stations under the snow.

The Cedar Cultural Center has postponed tonight's Neal & Leandra show. A makeup date has already been set for next Thursday night, for which all original tickets will be honored. New York picker Langhorne Slim also called off tonight's Varsity Theater gig, promising to reschedule in the spring. "We will miss you, MN," Mr. Slim tweeted.

So far, those are the only instances we've heard of concerts being unplugged due to the weather (although Ozzy's "ear infection" sure was conveniently timed). It looks like tonight's biggest show, the second night of Doomtree's Blowout VI, is going on as planned at First Avenue. "Bring a shovel," P.O.S. urged fans in a tweet sent out about an hour ago. He also urged fans to bring extra coats for their coat drive, which has already brought in about 500 jackets. Last night's Blowout was sold out, and it thankfully finished just as the snow really started piling up. Look for a review of the truly blizzard-like, three-hour-plus set here in a little bit -- very soon, in fact, if I go with my hunch that shoveling at this point is futile.
