Yoonshin Song
South Korean-born violinist Yoonshin Song is the newest member of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, which opens its 2010-11 season Friday, Sept. 10 at Ordway Center.
Song, who has her master's degree from the New England Conservatory, will begin in early October. After graduating from Seoul National University, she came to the U.S. to continue her studies. She also has an artist diploma from the Manhattan School of Music, where she completed a program in orchestral studies. Song has performed at the Marlboro and Aspen Music Festival and as a soloist with orchestras in Europe, South Korea and the United States.
Song performs on a Vincenzo Rugeri violin on loan to her by a sponsor in Michigan.
