Opening: With “Metamorphosis,” the male choral group Cantus welcomes spring. Celebrating the natural world’s cycle of renewal, the ensemble presents ancient and modern music around ideas of awakening, renewal and transformation. From the popular “Morning Has Broken” to a 13th-century Rota (or round), Cantus marks daybreak and spring’s arrival in countries all over the world. (7:30 p.m. Thu., Cowles Center, 528 Hennepin Av.
