Mystic Lake Casino has landed its first contemporary rock concert, and the annual Basilica Block Party has announced arguably its weakest lineup in memory. The Mystic Lake Showroom has booked Maroon 5, Counting Crows and Sara Bareilles for Aug. 26. Bet that's a bill the State Fair would have liked for the grandstand, or the Basilica would have loved for its block party. Maroon 5, which performs Thursday at the Myth, headlined at Xcel Energy Center last year, and Adam Duritz and the Crows played at Midway Stadium in 2007. Tickets for the Mystic Lake concert will go on sale at 10 a.m. May 31 at Ticketmaster. OneRepublic and Gavin Rossdale, the former Bush frontman who is better known as Mr. Gwen Stefani, have been tapped to headline the 14th annual Basilica bash on July 11 and 12. Also set for the church fundraiser are the Gin Blossoms, Augustana, Missy Higgins, Dave Barnes and Landon Pigg. Other acts will be announced. Tickets will go on sale Saturday at Ticketmaster and 612-317-3511. JON BREAM
