Since it’s not looking like a Led Zeppelin “reunion” tour will happen anytime soon – and you might face the wrath of the Golden God if you ask about it again – the concert film from the band’s one and only performance at London’s O2 Arena in 2007 will have to suffice for now. The movie, “Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day,” will be screened in theaters for two nights only across the globe on Wednesday and Thursday of next week (Oct. 17 and 18). We found four theaters in Minnesota that are selling the $15 tickets for the special screenings. Click on the theater name to be taken to their ticketing sites:

TWIN CITIES: AMC Rosedale 14 (7:30 p.m. Wed and Thu.) and AMC Eden Prairie 18 (7:30 p.m. Wed. and Thu.)

ST. CLOUD: Parkwood Cinema Waite Park (7 p.m. Wed.)

ROCHESTER: Galaxy 14 Cine (7 and 9:40 p.m. Wed.)

The movie – which clocks in at 2 hours, 5 minutes – will then be sold in multiple formats starting Nov. 19, including various DVD and CD packages, plus vinyl and digital-only editions. No wonder the guys aren’t touring: They’re going to make a killing just off that one concert (which, to be fair, was originally for charity). If you’re an über-fan, though, you really should take advantage of these theater screenings, which always sound great in today’s hi-fi/surround-sound/megaplex cinema world, and there's much more of a sense of being there than watching the concert on a TV at home. Reviews of the movie have been solidly favorable, as was the reaction to the original concert.

Twin Cities Zep-heads have one more good option to celebrate “Celebration Day”: The Cabooze will host a special “Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day” concert on Oct. 20 with a large cast of local music vets, including Julius Collins (Greazy Meal), Wain McFarlane (“Ipso Facto”), Paris Bennett (“American Idol”), Jason Fladager (God Johnson, Big Wu) and ace sidemen Billy Thommes, Al Bergstrom, Troy Norton and Mitch Boerner. Their plan is to perform the exact same set list that was played at the 02 Arena. Those tickets ($10) are on sale now via Ticketfly.
