The 14th annual Twin Cities Jazz Festival continued Friday at St. Paul's Mears Park with a main-stage performance by, among others, the Twin Cities 7 with Charmin Michelle. Featured players were Doug Haining on saxophone, Steve Wright on trumpet and Dave Graf on trombone.

Julia Martinson and her children Nathan, 2, and Erika, 4, took advantage of the shade and stream by the E. 6th Street stage, where the Atlantis Quartet played. The Martinsons were visiting from New Richmond, Wis.

The free music festival continues Saturday with headliners the Bad Plus and guest Joshua Redman.
