Veteran radio executive Rob Morris, having recently left Top 40 giant KDWB (FM 101.3), will take on similar duties for a newly countrified FM station as well as a sister station down the dial.

CBS Radio announced on Tuesday that Morris is joining country station KMNB (FM 102.9) and classic rock outlet KZJK (FM 104.1), better known as Jack FM.

Morris starts his new job in July, forced to wait because of a noncompete clause. He'll consult for a CBS Radio station in Orlando in the meantime.

Morris "has the heart of a warrior, and his hiring is sure to guarantee results," Mick Anselmo, senior vice president and market manager for CBS Radio in Minneapolis, said in a statement accompanying the announcement. "He's a franchise programmer, and having him join our team is great for our stations."

Specifically, Morris will oversee operations at both stations, as well as manage programming, talent and production at 102.9, which recently abandoned its light-rock format.

Morris was hired at Clear Channel's KDWB in 1994 as an assistant program director among other responsibilities. He most recently served as operations manager and program director. He added Clear Channel political talk station KTLK (AM 1130) to his duties five years ago.
