A two-vehicle crash on Thanksgiving Day in southern Minnesota killed an 82-year-old driver and injured three other people, Brown County authorities said.
The collision occurred shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday west of Comfrey at the intersection of County roads 17 and 5, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Lois Birkemeyer, of Comfrey, died less than four hours later at a hospital in Rochester. Three people in the other vehicle, all from nearby Windom, were hospitalized. They were identified as driver Leatrice Hecht, 80, and passengers Charles Hecht, 80, and David Hecht, 54.
